Words

"I would hurl words into this darkness and wait for an echo, and if an echo sounded, no matter how faintly, I would send other words to tell, to march, to fight, to create a sense of hunger for life that gnaws in us all." ~Richard Wright, American Hunger, 1977

"I write when I dream and I dream when I write."

Found a New Artist Tonight That I Want to Share

Valerie June shows her unique voice and original rootsy folk blues music while taking part in the 2011 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee. I'm always looking for new music and artist to listen to that will inspire me and move me. I found Valerie when I was actually looking at pictures of locs from a google search and she popped up with her beautiful free form locs. I really miss my locs now, though my locs would have never been as thick as hers. A girl can dream. lol.
